A LITTLE ACTION - BIG CHANGES. AN CUONG WOOD ACCOMPANIES WITH UNDERSTANDING ABOUT HEART.

With two difficult circumstances needed to help, Understanding about Heart cooperated with An Cuong Wood to help the two children, K’Vuong and Vo Thanh Khoa.

Received information from the Understanding about Heart on two cases of congenital heart disease in poor families, needed early surgery due to severe condition. All staffs of An An Cuong Wood-working Joint Stock Company have contributed to the fund to help bring healthy heart to 02 children.

K’Vuong (Lam Dong)

Due to they are the ethnic minority family in the Central Highlands, they did not have access to medical care early, so K’Vuong (born in 1999) was diagnosed as heart disease until 13 years old. With K’Vuong, this is the second major surgery in life with a cost of up to 88 million (In 2013, he was supported heart surgery sponsored by Understanding about Heart).

His father is disabled in the foot, the family burden sets on the mother’s shoulder, K’Vuong’s siblings also have to drop out of school early together with her mother farming to feed the whole family. K’Vuong and the two children are lucky when they may go to school, but with such a state of health, continuing education is very difficult. “Only study helps my family less the poor, I wish I was well to go back to school,” K’Vuong said.

Vo Thanh Khoa (Dong Thap)

The situation of Vo Thanh Khoa (born in 2012) is another pitiful story in the West. In the house, only the floor is solid, the rest are patches, embossed, assembled from all the materials that Khoa’s father picked up, four people of a family live together day-by-day. The heart disease has been detected since birth, but until now the he has been prescribed surgery because the body is too weak, not enough weight for surgery.

No garden, the total amount of money that his parents work as hired collectors are only 1 million/month, not enough to cover the living expenses for parents and 2 children. With the cost of surgery up to 65 million, the family had to borrow everywhere, but no one lent.
